Charles W. Sanders for Warren County Commissioner
My name is Charles W. Sanders and I am seeking a Warren County Commissioner’s seat. I have lived in Warren County all my life with the only exception being my stint in the military, which extended over three years. Over the coming months, I hope to disseminate many of my ideas about prospering the county with new and innovative concepts.
I am the democratic candidate challenging a long time incumbent and also proudly am a member of the executive committee of the Warren County Democratic Party. Being able to fairly and effectively represent the many constituents in this district is a distinct honor. Please give me the opportunity to help make good things come to past by giving me your vote on November 8th, 2016.
Citizen input is the most important ingredient required to advance an amazing county. We fully expect that many big projects will eventualize during the subsequent term of the board of Commissioners beginning in 2017. I will persistently strive to acquaint my fellow commissioners concerning the very positive connotations that could promote greater economic growth and development resulting from initiating physical change to the way we think about intermodal transportation. Yes, we need smarter infrastructucture investment to further facilitate our greater population numbers to reflect today’s more municipal county governance
Many experiences prepare me to take on the commissioner’s position. The golden years serving, as a council member and Mayor of Waynesville presented a grand opportunity to observe broad-spectrum county needs. For a period, Warren County actually had a Municipal League during which time I served as its Vice President. Of coarse some of my duties required testifying before the state legislature on matters, which came before the League.
A change in the guard is good from time to time as it allows for fresh observations of past challenging episodes, to include old stalemates to be tackled with new vision. I am a Wilmington College Graduate, taking a degree in ‘ Industrial and Labor Relations’, (1978).
US Army Veteran-3rd, Armored Division; Trained first responder at GM Delco Fire Brigade for 25 years. I was a dues paying member of the AFL-CIO-IUE-CWA Local 755 for Thirty years. I have been married for forty-three years.
We need dedicated volunteers and generous donors to support our wide spread efforts to effectively persuade the voters of Warren County to join our cause by encouraging their friends and neighbors to vote for us in November. Be among the first to participate in our campaign by utilizing the brand new feature available on this site by giving a solid secure donation. We will be most appreciative and happily launch out on a grand election effort with a bent toward winning. Thankfully, we have a lot of good will out in the community from positive interactions over the years and do remain optimistic that change can and will come for the better.
